Today we decided to explore Chinon. a very old medieval town. The first stop was to see the old family home. If you were following yesterday then you will know the family I am talking about. They lived in a rather "des res" on top of the cliffs. In my view, it's a bit tired and could do with a lick of paint!!. Pavement lunch in a lovely little cafe. Boy is it hot, topping 30 degrees today. Found a little bar on the "beach" of the river so will be back tonight to try and capture the floodlit castle.

Being Monday a lot of the shops were closed so in the morning we are off to the wine caves for a bit of tasting
