Roger's Grandfather. Private - Scottish Rifles


Lewis was a career soldier first enlisting in 1907. He was killed in action in 1916 and is remembered on the Thiepval Arch. His body was never found or if it was, he could not be identified.

Lewis's name is engraved on PIllar D South. At the time of our visit, the arch was undergoing some needed renovations and so we could not see his name, we chose another headstone to remember him by
