Well made it. Oh my, this is like no other place I have ever been or seen

We landed in brilliant cloudless blue skies and in a landscape that takes some describing. It's stark, treeless and looks like a scene from one of those apocalyptic movies. There are no trees, bushes or flowers, just black lava covered in lichen. On the other hand it's beautiful and striking.

In the distance, snow-capped glaciers and dotted around, there are steaming thermal pools. The bus has free WIFI!!

The hotel is modern and very efficient and yes guess what? Free WIFI. We sat outside having a drink in the sun until we realised it was way passed midnight. This 24 hour sun is going to take some getting use to.

Tomorrow we are seeing the Penis museum and the Golden Circle, in essence, Todgers and Geysers!
